Don’t make the same mistake that I did!

Has your family expanded recently? Have your children started coming to the cottage with THEIR children? And their friends? And their friends’ children?

I am afraid I estimated the capacity of our septic system on the usage from former years and now we are in a pile of...., well you know.

Unless you LOVE the sounds of the screams of TERROR when your grandchildren and your daughter-in-law have to enter the outhouse with huge spiders for company, you may want to heed my advice.

Have the tank pumped regularly and often. There is LIMITED ACCESS for tank pumpers to our Island and, as I found out last August, they will only come ONCE to our Island in each season! No amount of begging or cajoling will work, I discovered, since they move on with their equipment to other lakes, and other islands and the cost of moving in their equipment is huge.

If you want to be put on THIS YEAR’S LIST for pumping in the Springtime of 2010, please contact me. I have been given a proposed date of early June but I am hoping to have that date moved up to sometime in May.
