Coming south from Smiths Falls on Highway 15:

Watch for the first Elgin exit, but don't take it. About 700m later, turn right on Davis Lock Road and proceed 1km to Bush Road. Turn left and proceed 2km to Sand Lake Road. Turn right and proceed 3km to Glovers Road. Turn right and proceed several hundred metres to Hughs Road which takes you to the "Sand Lake Marine" marina. Hughs Road has a fork about 150m along: bear right.

If you are looking for the public boat ramp rather than the marina, don't take the left onto Hughs Road but continue on Glovers Road to the end.

Coming north from Kingston on Highway 15:

Shortly after Morton, turn left onto Jones Falls Road and proceed 4 twisting kilometres to Sand Lake Road which happens to be the first right you encounter. Turn right and proceed 600m to Glovers Road. Turn left and proceed several hundred metres to Hughs Road which takes you to the marina.

Coming North-west from Brockville&401:

On the 401 at Brockville, take exit 696 (Stewart St, Hwy #29), go north about 12km, turn left on #42 near Forthton, and follow #42 through Athens, Delta and Phillipsville.  After Phillipsville, about 2km along, turn left on #8. See map above. Continue through Elgin and across #15, You are now on Davis Lock Rd. Proceed 1km to Bush Road. Turn left and proceed 2km to Sand Lake Road. Turn right and proceed 3km to Glovers Road. Turn right and proceed several hundred metres to Hughs Road which takes you to the "Sand Lake Marine" marina.

If you want the public boat ramp, don't turn on Hughs Rd but continue on Glovers Rd to the lake.

Coming North-west from Ganonoque&401

On the 401 at Ganonoque, take exit 645 (hwy#32) and follow #32 north to Hwy#15. Turn right and follow #15 through Morton. See map above. Shortly after Morton, turn left onto Jones Falls Road and proceed 4 kilometres to Sand Lake Road which happens to be the first right you encounter. Turn right and proceed 600m to Glovers Road. Turn left and proceed several hundred metres to Hughs Road which takes you to the marina.

Coming North-west from US 81 via Ivy-Lea Bridge . . .

Get on 401 West and either continue to Ganonoque, take exit 645 and Hwy#32 etc. as described above . . . or . . . . if you like backroads, take the first exit, exit 659, onto Hwy#3 north, through Lansdowne, Dulcemaine, Outlet and Long Point.. A couple of kilometres after Long Point, turn left onto Sweet Corners Rd and proceed west to #15, crossing #33 in the process. You are now just south of Morton. See map above.Turn right on #15. Shortly after Morton, turn left onto Jones Falls Road and proceed 4 kilometres to Sand Lake Road which happens to be the first right you encounter. Turn right and proceed 600m to Glovers Road. Turn left and proceed several hundred metres to Hughs Road which takes you to the marina.
